Shepton Mallet is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Unlike its sister towns, Wells and Glastonbury, it has always been a working town and many of its buildings reflect this heritage.

In a previous life the shop was a saddlers and this tradition of hand-crafted work is continued in One Craft Gallery. It is a co-operative owned and run by the gallery members, showcasing their work, and offering a wide range of creative and decorative pieces including ceramics, jewellery, knitwear, glass, printmaking and painting. One Craft Gallery is situated in a Grade II listed building looking on to the market place which boasts a market cross and a 'shamble' dating from the 15th century. The local church of St. Peter and St. Paul at the back of the square has a fine example of a 'wagon' roof.

Guest exhibitors will supplement the wide range of products on display on a regular basis. All members of the co-operative are available to discuss commissions.

There is temporary parking right outside and good long term parking nearby.
